Associate
Regina Deason joined Schulman, Lopez, Hoffer & Adelstein, LLP in 2024. While in law school, Ms. Deason was a judicial intern for the Honorable Orlando Garcia at the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas. Ms. Deason also worked as a student attorney at the Center for Legal and Social Justice Family Law Clinic, as a research and teaching assistant for various professors at St. Mary’s University School of Law, and as a law clerk at SLHA.
Education & Honors
Ms. Deason graduated magna cum laude from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2021 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. Ms. Deason then earned her J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2024, graduating cum laude. Ms. Deason was inducted into the John M. Harlan Society, an honorary organization that recognizes students who graduate in the top 10% of their class, and received the Pro Bono and Public Service Award and Dean’s Award.
While at St. Mary’s, Ms. Deason served as the Research and Articles Editor and as a Staff Writer for the St. Mary’s Law Journal Vols. 54–55. Ms. Deason also served as President of the Family Law Association and Immigration Law Student Association. Finally, Ms. Deason spent the summer of 2023 enrolled in various international law courses at the St. Mary’s Institute on World Legal Problems at the University of Innsbruck.
Ms. Deason is fluent in Spanish.
