Jade Heep joined Schulman, Lopez, Hoffer & Adelstein, LLP as an associate in 2023. Ms. Heep brings practical litigation experience to our team. She assists in handling complex civil litigation, personal injury, and wrongful death cases. Jade has tried several cases as lead attorney to final verdict/ award in both jury trials, as well as arbitrations. She has briefed numerous complex legal issues throughout the course of her career, including pre-trial briefing for a jury trial in which the team she worked with received a multi-million-dollar verdict.
Prior to joining our team, Jade worked at a San Antonio firm who specialized in work injury cases. Jade was a Plaintiff’s attorney for personal injury cases and ran a full docket as lead counsel. Since before she graduated law school, Jade had a passion for helping those who do not typically have a voice in the legal system. She has continued to facilitate that desire throughout her practice.
Ms. Heep graduated from Texas State University in 2014 receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with a focus on Forensic Psychology, where she made the Dean’s List a total of five times, including every semester for her last two years, earning a 4.0 during each of those semesters.
Ms. Heep received her Juris Doctor degree from St. Mary’s School of Law in 2018. She graduated Cum Laude and was inducted into St. Mary’s distinguished John M. Harlan Society, an honorary organization that recognizes students who have excelled academically and graduate in the top 10% of the class.
While at St. Mary’s, Ms. Heep was a Staff Writer for St. Mary’s Law Journal, served as the lead research assistant for one of her professors, and worked as a law clerk for a San Antonio personal injury firm. Ms. Heep made the Dean’s List multiple times, and was a recipient of the coveted Dean’s Scholarship, reserved for a select few students who academically surpassed their peers. She was also a participant in St. Mary’s University’s Institute on World Legal Problems at the University of Innsbruck, where she studied International Business Law in Austria during her summers in law school.
