The mission of Life School is to develop leaders with life skills through strong academics, character training, and partnerships with parents and the community. Life School educates students and builds leaders through strong academics, character training, and partnerships with parents and the community. Families access abundant opportunities, including strong athletics, dual credit, science education, and a strong focus on character and leadership.

Life School operates 10 schools at 9 locations serving more than 5,600 students in Carrollton (K-5), Cedar Hill (K-6), Lancaster (K-6), Mountain Creek (K-6), Oak Cliff (K-12), Red Oak (K-6) and Waxahachie (7-12).

OPENING: K-6 Elementary School Principal Mountain Creek Campus

Summary: The Mountain Creek Campus serves 250 K-6 students and 30 staff. As Principal you will provide leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service; oversee compliance with district policies, success of instructional programs, and operation of all campus activities and personnel. As a role model you will demonstrate professional, ethical, and responsible behavior.

Required and Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in educational administration; Texas Principal certificate
• Strong understanding and working knowledge of curriculum and instruction
• Ability to evaluate instructional programs, teaching effectiveness, and interpret data.
• Ability to manage budget and personnel and implement policy and procedure
• Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
• Two years’ experience as a classroom teacher; two years in an instructional leadership role preferred
• Ability to engage the community, students, and families to foster positive relationships that will increase student enrollment.
• Ability to hold staff accountable to high academic and behavior standards.

OPENING: K-6 Elementary School Principal Oak Cliff Campus

Summary: The Oak Cliff Campus, our founding school, serves 825 K-6 students and 70 staff. As Principal you will provide leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service; oversee compliance with district policies, success of instructional programs, and operation of all campus activities and personnel. As a role model you will demonstrate professional, ethical, and responsible behavior.

Required and Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in educational administration; Texas Principal certificate
•  Strong understanding and working knowledge of curriculum and instruction
• Ability to evaluate instructional programs, teaching effectiveness, and interpret data
• Ability to manage budget and personnel and implement policy and procedure
• Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
• Two years’ experience as a classroom teacher; two years in an instructional leadership role preferred
• Strong understanding of the needs of the Hispanic community and ability to build relationships for problem solving barriers to academic achievement
• Experience with positive behavioral interventions and techniques a plus
